Hit The Lights
Just To Get Through To You
Release Date: May 6, 2016
Label: Pure Noise Records
This is easily the best acoustic record of the year. Hands down, and I stand by it. We'll see what happens as the year goes on, but for now, I'm considering this to be the best acoustic record of 2016. Hit The Lights have done it again and released yet another pop-punk masterpiece, this time in a different arrangement with versatile acoustic arrangements. Old favorites have re-surfaced in beautiful form, with "Drop The Girls" and "Fucked Up Kids" being my personal favorite arrangements. This is just enough to hold fans over until the next HTL record, which I can guarantee will be yet another hit if Summer Bones, their most recent album, was any indication of what this band can do when firing on all cylinders. The EP's final track, "Lighthouse", is the only non-acoustic, original track on the record, and what I'm considering the bridge into LP 5.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
