Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin Cover The Knack For Night Seven of "The Hanukkah Sessions"
Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) and Greg Kurstin (record producer) have decided that they will be releasing eight cover songs, one for each day of Hanukkah. Each cover will be exclusively by an artist of Jewish descent, and for the seventh night, they’ve decided to present a cover of The Knack’s “Frustrated”. The video description reads as follows:
“Tonight we’re featuring 4 nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl… “My Shalom-a” or something like that... We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the “old wave” that came after Moses parted the Red Sea)…so we were psyched to get to cover one of our favorites…The Knack!”
Foo Fighters are currently gearing up to release their tenth studio album, Medicine At Midnight, on February 5th, with Kurstin acting as producer. You can click here to pre-order the new album, and you can click here to hear the band’s first single, “Shame, Shame”, which premiered on Saturday Night Live in November.
