Space Cadet, a new project featuring members of the veteran punk band The Explosion, have announced that they will be releasing their debut album, Lion On A Leash, on March 26th, 2021 via Wiretap Records. The album was produced by The Bouncing Souls' Pete Steinkopf.

The band is comprised of vocalist Matt Hock and guitarist David Walsh, both members of the punk act The Explosion, but Space Cadet shows the duo entering new territories with their music, leaning into the sounds of post-punk, new wave, and Brit rock.

The project’s debut album, Lion A Leash, won’t be shy of guest appearances either, with Brian Baker (Bad Religion, Minor Threat), Mike Sneeringer (The Loved Ones, Strand of Oaks), Matt Olsson (Dave Hause, Brian Fallon), Chris Gonzalez (The Explosion, The Loved Ones) all set to appear on the new album.
