Our Beyond Wonderland pre-show coverage keeps rolling in! Our next interview in the series is one with trance artist Jordan Suckley. He was currently on the road in Colombia when we scheduled this interview, so Jordan was kind enough to answer our questions via email. We talked about his experience performing at FSOE400 USA, his mix show Damaged Radio, and what he'll be bringing to Beyond Wonderland this year.
I saw your set at FSOE in San Jose. Fantastic show! Personally, how do you think it went in comparison to the other FSOE sets you played on that tour?
It was insane, America is one of my favourite places to play at the moment because Trance is exploding there! FSOE has become a huge brand so [I] always enjoy playing their parties!
What can you tell me about Damaged Radio and what you’ve got coming up with the show?
I have been doing my Damaged Radio show for just over 1 year now exploring everything from Techno, Progressive, Psy & Trance! We start a new 2 hour show on di.fm in October, which will include some special features and guest mixes from producers who i feel have that Damaged sound!
Beyond Wonderland is coming up in the next two weeks. I think this event is an incredibly unique one, but there’s also a great number of artists on the tour. Fans get music thrown at them left and right. What do you think sets you apart from the other artists that are playing? Essentially, what do you think will draw fans into your set?
Well i just play the music that i love and hope that people like it too really. I will be playing some of my own new & unheard originals/ remixes, along with some unreleased Damaged material, all mashed in with some filthy Psy, Tech trance & madness!
I ask this question to every artist that I interview, as a way to close things out. What does music mean to you?
Happiness, positivity & friends!
Be sure to catch Jordan Suckley's set on the CHESHIRE WOODS stage at Beyond Wonderland THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27 from 5PM - 6:30 PM. For more information on the festival, visit www.beyondwonderland.com. For more on Jordan Suckley, visit www.facebook.com/JordanSuckleyMusic
