Kitchen Table is an EP from up and coming rock-and-roll four-piece Pacific Radio. While it's only four tracks in length, it gives a good indication as to what the band will be capable of with a future full-length album. The EP gives listeners a little bit of everything; tongue-in-cheek lyrics against garage-punk guitar riffs permeate the air in "Tight Jeans", while things become a bit more toned down with tracks like "LA Is Pretty (But It's Killing Me).
While short in length, Kitchen Table demonstrates the versatility of Pacific Radio. All four songs fall within the vein of alternative rock, but they pull from various sub-genres that make up the category, while consequently creating an identity for the band that is entirely their own. I think we'll be interested to see what happens when the quartet release their full-length album later this year.
