WSTR - Red, Green, or Inbetween

WSTR
Red, Green, or Inbetween
Genre: Pop-Punk
Release Date: January 20, 2017
Label: No Sleep Records

I'm not going to get too personal with this, but let's just say we're at a point in history that we need some aggressive, no-holds-barred pop-punk. WSTR has you covered. The Liverpool quartet is comprised of Sammy Clifford (vocals), Kieren Alder (guitar), Danny Swift (guitar), Alex Tobijanski (bass), and Red, Green, or Inbetween is very well one of the best pop-punk offerings of the last year.

The production is immaculate on Red, Green, or Inbetween, and there is absolutely no denying it. Clifford's vocals are clear and hard-hitting, and everyone's instruments are balanced perfectly throughout this blistering eleven-track course in pop-punk. The album has been referred to as 'a breakup album' by the band, and the lyrics reflect that. It's the usual stuff you'd hear within a genre like this, but it hits far more successfully than many others have in recent memory. It's still too early to call it, but this could be a contender for pop-punk Album of the Year.
