The Gaslight Anthem Announce New EP, North American Tour Dates
The Gaslight Anthem has announced that they will be releasing a brand new EP titled History Books - Short Stories this Friday, March 22nd on their own label Rich Mahogany Recordings via Thirty Tigers.
The EP includes four exclusive tracks, along with their take on Billie Eilish’s “Ocean Eyes”. The EP will also include a new rendition of “Blue Jeans & White T-Shirts”, as well as acoustic performances of “Positive Charge” and “History Books”.
In regards to the new single, lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Brian Fallon stated the following:
“I was driving my daughter to school and she played it for me on the way and I really took to the song. Then one day we were talking ideas for a cover with our friends and I said, wouldn’t it be cool to do a heavier version of ‘Ocean Eyes’? I tried it out and everybody loved the idea.”
The band has also announced that they will be heading out on a North American tour this summer, with dates set to kick off on July 26th in Denver, CO. The tour will run through September 15th in Asbury Park, NJ with a performance at Sear.Hear.Now Festival.
