Avenged Sevenfold Announce Second Leg of North American Tour
Avenged Sevenfold has announced the second leg of the band’s “Life Is But A Dream” North American tour, in support of their forthcoming new album Life Is But A Dream…. The second leg kicks off on September 16th in West Palm Beach, FL and will run through Sunday, October 15th in Fort Worth, TX. The overall tour is set to begin on July 18th in Camden, NJ. Alexisonfire will support the band on the first leg, while Falling In Reverse will support throughout the second.
Tickets go on sale for all new dates this Friday, April 14th at 10 AM local time. You can view the full tour routing below. Presale begins with something rather unique: a Deathbeds Club and TicketPass presale, which begins tomorrow, April 12th at 3 PM EST. Fans can request tickets using Ticketmaster’s new Token-Gated Sales platform at www.avengedsevenfold.io/.The Deathbats Club is a collection of 10,000 unique Deathbat NFTs, made popular by the band, that fly around within the Ethereum blockchain. A “Deathbat” acts as a membership card into the club and offers fans many perks and access to events that will take place both in real life and in the “metaverse”.
TicketPass is a new blockchain based verification and rewards system, created in collaboration with the band and Bitflips, for anyone that chooses to participate. The program is free, eco-friendly, and requires very few steps to make sure that fans can get tickets. Just set up a MetaMask or Coinbase wallet, and a TicketPass from Avenged Sevenfold will be airdropped immediately. Vocalist M. Shadows states the following about the program:
”TicketPass will by no means cost anyone any money, you won’t have to get involved in cryptocurrency, you won’t have to do any of these things that people feel uncomfortable with, and the token that we’re going to be using is on the Polygon network — an environmentally-friendly blockchain. We want to roll something out to the rest of our fan base without them having to opt into a full fan club experience that is strictly for tickets and ensuring our fans get the best tickets they desire first,”
“At the end of the day, we want to know your feedback on if this worked well for you, and we will take notes and mold this for you. Look at this as a frequent flier miles type of program – with Avenged Sevenfold, we will be breaking these passes into “tiers” over time and rewarding the people who have been participating the most in our A7X ecosystem (with merchandise, listening habits, music consumption, live events, and other metrics.).”
