17 Artists To Check Out This Weekend At Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA
In just two days, Aftershock Festival will be returning to Discovery Park in Sacramento, CA. The show, originally set to take place for 3 days in October of 2020 has had a few changes, to say the least. The previous Saturday headliner, My Chemical Romance, has moved their tour up to 2022, and were replaced with The Original Misfits on the Saturday night headlining slot. A Thursday night show was added as a special treat to ticketholders for having to wait over a year for the festival, with acts like Cypress Hill, Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel set to kick things off.
Despite the changes, the biggest event of the weekend is sure to come in the form of two Metallica headlining sets (one on Friday evening, the other on Sunday). But other than the appearance of the Bay Area heavy metal legends, who else will be taking the stage this weekend?
As with every year of Aftershock, there will be tons of great artists to check out during each of the four festival dates. Below is a list of 15 of our most anticipated acts to check out at this year’s festival, whether you’re looking to discover a new classic, an old favorite, or something you may not have thought you’d loved before.
