Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer Announce Massive 'Hella Mega' Stadium Tour, New Albums and Music
In a stunning announcement, three of rock's biggest artists announced that not only would they be putting out brand new music in 2020, but that they would be hitting the road together for a colossal global stadium tour. Green Day, Fall Out Boy, AND Weezer have announced that they will be hitting the road together for a 20-date tour which they've dubbed "The Hella Mega Tour".
The North American leg of the tour will kick off on Friday, July 17th in Seattle, WA (followed just a few days later on July 21st with a Bay Area date at San Francisco's Oracle Park), and will conclude on August 29th in Philadelphia, PA. The Interrupters will open each date.
But what's a monumental tour without new music? Each of the three headliners will have a new album out by the time the tour is set to kick off next summer. Green Day have announced that they will be releasing their thirteenth studio album, Father Of All...(Motherfuckers), on February 7th, 2020 via Reprise Records. Weezer will also be releasing their fourteenth studio album, Van Weezer on May 15th, 2020 via Atlantic Records. Fall Out Boy have yet to announce any plans for a new full-length album, but they did unveil both a new greatest hits album, Believers Never Die: Volume 2, and a new single entitled "Dear Future Self (Hands Up)", which features a guest vocal spot from Wyclef Jean.
