This morning, the Vans Warped Tour announced the highly anticipated dates for its 25th anniversary celebration events. Now that it’s no longer a full cross-country tour, there will only be five shows throughout the country this summer, all in celebration of the twenty-five years that the traveling punk rock festival has created.
This year, the 25th anniversary events will be taking place on June 8th in Cleveland, OH at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, June 29th and 30th in Atlantic City, NJ at Atlantic City Beach, and on July 20th and 21st in Mountain View, CA at Shoreline Amphitheatre. It’s been announced via Twitter that both New Jersey and Mountain View will be full-fledged Warped Tour style events with multiple stages, extreme sports, sponsors, non-profits and everything that fans have come to know and love about the traveling festival. Cleveland will be a smaller, scaled back event with one stage, given that the space is more limited and intimate, but it will have a “Warped Tour feel” to it.
