The Amity Affliction have announced that they will be releasing their upcoming studio album, Misery, via Roadrunner Records. This will be the band's sixth overall studio album, and it will be released worldwide on August 24th.
Misery was recorded earlier this year in Baltimore, MD with producer Matt Squire (whose production credits range from Panic! At The Disco, to Ariana Grande, to Underoath), and it is the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed and commercially successful fifth studio album This Could Be Heartbreak.
In addition to the album announcement, the band have released a cinematic music video for the album's first single, "Ivy (Doomsday)". Part short film, part music video, "Ivy (Doomsday)" was written and co-directed by the band's vocalist Joel Birch, marking the first chapter in a three-part story "chronicling a dark tale of three friends and their quest for vengeance".
You can click here to pre-order Misery, and you can view the album artwork, track listing, and music video for "Ivy (Doomsday)" below. Be sure to catch the band all summer on this year's Vans Warped Tour (which makes its last ever Bay Area stop in Mountain View, CA tomorrow, June 23rd).
