My apologies to my readers for taking so long to post these show reviews. I am still a student in college, so my work load can get the best of me at times. However, I am happy to be back and writing about some of the events that I have had the pleasure of attending these past few months.

Back in February I attended T.Mills’ (aka Travis Mills’) headlining tour, the “All I Wanna Do” Tour when he came to San Francisco. This was by far one of the most interesting events I’ve attended. This is solely because of the opening acts, but I’ll get to that later.

T. Mills performed a fantastic show. His stage show was very stripped down. It consisted only of him and a drummer, truly allowing the music to speak for itself. He powered through a full, hour long set of old and new songs. The show finished with his newest single, entitled “All I Wanna Do”. If you haven’t had a chance to hear the track yet, I’d suggest you head to your nearest music website of choice and take a listen. It’s very summertime, incredibly upbeat, and just plain fun.

Mills’ opener, Blackbear, performed a nice set as well. Very stripped down, following in accordance with the other acts on this tour. In fact, T.Mills and Blackbear were the only artists that were actually on the tour (Mod Sun was slated to jump on a little bit later). The promoters recruited openers from the Bay Area to open the show.

I try to keep these things positive, but I will say this: the second opener for this show, an artist by the name of (does it really matter?) was one of the worst performance I’ve ever had to sit through. T. Mills’ show, however, made up for it, but if time travel was possible, I would make it so that I didn’t have to sit through it.

Opening act, I don’t know who you are. But the cliché hip-hop rap act is not working

This has been another shameless promotion.
