Thank You Scientist
Stranger Heads Prevail
Release Date: July 29, 2016
Label: Evil Ink Records
Thank You Scientist is a band unlike any that you've probably encountered in the past. I've encountered seven-piece acts in the past, but this one is a bit different. Stranger Heads Prevail, the most recent effort from the band, is a monster of an album. There are so many influences hitting you all at once, but they're all organized in such a way that it doesn't feel too overwhelming. At one moment, you feel like you're out at Warped Tour, and the next you're in a jazz club. You turn a corner, and you're in the orchestra pit. It's a strange mashup when you see it on paper, but it works. Each track on Stranger Heads Prevail, minus the introduction track and outro, aren't shorter than six minutes, with the longest track coming in closer to ten minutes. It's an album that requires multiple listens, just like any kind of progressive record, but it's enjoyable to listen to every single time.
This has been another Shameless Promotion.
