The press release that I got surrounding Elessar described them as a "punk rock" band. Personally, I wouldn't classify them as punk rock. But I will say that they are an astounding band to listen to. I was blown away by the five-track EP that is Reflections. There may be elements of punk, sure, but it falls more along the sides of melodic post-hardcore and alternative rock. The strength of the band lies within both their strong musicianship and gorgeous vocal melodies. After one listen of Reflections, you'll understand why this is a band that needs your attention.
