“Now, you’re playing with power”, so proclaims the vocal sample used in the first track of British electronic duo Knife Party’s third release, “Haunted House”. It’s an appropriate statement, as the EP is an electronic powerhouse of intense beats, filthy drops, and glossy synths. “Power Glove”, the first track, is reminiscent of something that could appear in a battle scene of one of the TRON films. “LRAD” features simple house beats that eventually culminate into one of the craziest trance-music segments I’ve heard in a long time. “EDM Death Machine” is a powerful track where I think visuals could be absolutely incredible in a live setting (when you hear the sound of the robot, you’ll understand). The EP also features a brand-new remix of “Internet Friends” that the duo has been using in their show for a while now. My advice: do yourself a favor, get some big ass speakers, and press play.
